Laura Unger Steps Down From Borland Board of Directors
SCOTTS VALLEY, Calif. - Aug 20, 2004 : Borland Software Corporation (Nasdaq NM: BORL) announced that Laura S. Unger has resigned from the Company's Board of Directors, effective today. Ms. Unger joined Borland's Board in April 2002.
Ms. Unger stated: "It has been a privilege and a pleasure to serve as a director of Borland these past few years. I have enjoyed my time with Borland and wish the company continued success in the future."
Commenting on Ms. Unger's resignation, William Hooper, Borland's Chairman of the Board, said: "Laura has been a very dedicated member of our Board and we appreciate her many contributions. Laura is an outstanding person and we wish her well."
Borland's Board of Directors now consists of seven members, six of whom are independent directors.
